The Azores sit in the middle of the Atlantic, and the food reflects it. Expect ocean-fresh tuna and limpets (lapas), pasture-raised beef, cozido stewed in volcanic ground, São Miguel pineapple, São Jorge cheese and Gorreana tea you won't find on the mainland. Every island eats a little differently — all of them are worth your time.
